How to use SALDAT

Guide to SALDAT: overview, tasks and kanban, personal finances, company invoicing, investing signals and learning. How to invite people to your team, switch contexts and book an online demo.

🚀 Getting started

SALDAT is one system for tasks, personal finances, company invoicing, investing and learning. One login, one account, one subscription — you switch modules in the top bar.

Open Overview →
🔑

Signing in and e-mail verification

Sign in with your e-mail and password at saldat.com/login (the browser takes you to the shared sign-in screen). Create a new account through registration. A verification e-mail arrives right away; you get into the app only after clicking the link in it. If you forget, we send a reminder. After verification a short wizard guides you through the initial setup and you receive an e-mail from the founder offering a 20-minute online demo. You stay signed in for 30 days from your last visit, so there is no need to enter the password every time.

🧭

Top module bar

The top bar switches between the modules you picked: Overview, Tasks, Money, Business, Investing and Learning. You can change the selection any time on the Account page. The coloured strip under the bar always shows which module you are in.

Menu at the top right

Everything else sits under one ☰ button on the right of the bar: the space switcher (personal or business), Why SALDAT, People, Account, Help (opens in a new tab, so you do not lose your work), Support, Setup check, language, dark or light mode and sign out.

👤

Spaces: personal and business

Your data is separated into spaces: personal and business. Switch between them in the ☰ menu. Each module only offers the spaces that belong to it: Business only the business one, Money, Investing and Learning only the personal one. The business space is created in the initial wizard when you enter a company name and pick the Business module.

👥

People and sharing

On the People page (/team) the space admin invites others by e-mail. Each person gets a role (admin, member or read-only) and a choice of modules they see. The invitee receives a link to join and pays nothing. The number of seats depends on your plan.

⚙️

Your account

All settings live in one place: menu ☰ → Account (/account.php). The Tasks, Money and Business modules have no account settings of their own. On the Account page you change your name, e-mail, language, main currency and password, turn on two-factor authentication (a code from an app on your phone at sign-in, with backup codes), pick the modules in the top bar, set up e-mail notifications, connect external calendars (iCal, read-only; their events show in the Overview and in Tasks), manage your subscription (the Stripe customer portal for card and invoices, cancellation at the end of the paid period and resuming it), download an export of all your data or delete the account permanently.

🔔

E-mail notifications

In the E-mail notifications section of the Account page you turn on a daily e-mail listing unfinished tasks past their due date. Choose the address it goes to (your account e-mail by default) and the send hour (7:00 by default). The e-mail arrives only when you actually have overdue tasks; the Send a test e-mail now button lets you verify the address right away. The list is grouped by space and board, and every board in the e-mail is a link.

🌐

Language SK / EN

Switch the language in the ☰ menu or on the Account page. It applies to the whole account, on every device and in all modules.

🌗

Dark and light mode

The ◐ button in the ☰ menu switches the theme. Dark mode is the default; your choice is stored in your browser.

Collapsible left menu

Modules have their own left menu with their pages. It can be collapsed when you need more room; on mobile it opens with a button.

Why SALDAT

Why SALDAT exists and why the founder keeps developing it. Open it from the ☰ menu or at /mission; you will also find a calendar there to book an online walkthrough.

🩺

Setup check

From the ☰ menu you run a check of whether everything is set up for full use: verified e-mail, finished initial wizard, active subscription, complete company billing details. If something is missing, the window also opens on its own once a week.

📱

Mobile app

Add SALDAT to your phone home screen as an app: the steps are at /aplikacia.

🏠 Overview

Overview is your home page after signing in. It summarises what is coming up and merges tasks, recurring payments and invoice due dates into a single calendar.

Open Overview →
📊

Tiles

Summary numbers for the current space: open tasks (and how many are overdue), this month's income and expenses, unpaid invoices, the purchase cost of your portfolio and what is due today in Learning.

Upcoming dates

The eight nearest tasks due within two days. Recurring payments and invoice due dates are in the calendar below.

🏦

Accounts

Balances of your accounts in one place, without clicking through to the Money module.

📅

Calendar

Month, week or day. One calendar shows tasks (purple), recurring payments (green), invoice due dates in a business space (teal) and events from connected external calendars. Drag a task to move it to another day.

✅ Tasks

The Tasks module is kanban boards plus a place to quickly drop any thought. You will find it at /tasks/.

Open Tasks →
🏠

Overview

What is scheduled for today and this week across all your boards.

📥

Quick notes and today’s tasks

One place for ideas and small tasks for today (text or voice). Tick any item off and it moves to the archive on the same page, where you can restore or delete it. A note can also be sorted onto a board or moved to the Rolling journal. The same list of open items appears at the top of the Tasks overview.

📋

Rolling journal

A running journal for notes that are not a task but that you do not want to lose.

📷

Photo notes

Photograph paper notes or a whiteboard and AI turns them into readable items that you simply confirm.

🗂️

Boards (kanban)

Classic columns (e.g. To do / Doing / Done) with cards you drag between them. You create boards yourself and each one has its own colour.

🏷️

Labels

Colour labels across boards — handy for projects, clients or priority.

🔁

Recurring

Tasks that come back (daily, weekly, monthly) are created automatically from the rule you set.

👥

Team

You invite people to the space on the shared People page (☰ menu). Everyone in the space sees its boards and tasks.

💰 Money

Personal and family finances: from logging a single expense to annual budgets, net worth and a forecast. Find it under Money in the top bar.

Open Money →
💸

Transactions

Income and expenses with a category, account, note and attachment. The foundation the whole module runs on.

🏦

Accounts

Current accounts, savings, cash and cards. Every transaction belongs to an account, so balances add up.

🏷️

Categories

Your own category tree — budgets and reports are calculated from it.

🎯

Budgets and annual budgets

Monthly limits per category and an annual view where you see the whole year at once.

🏆

Goals

Savings goals (holiday, emergency fund, car) with progress in per cent.

🔁

Recurring payments and your subscriptions

Rent, insurance, instalments or streaming services. The app reminds you and includes them in the forecast. This tracks the services you pay for, not your SALDAT subscription; that one is managed on the Account page.

💵

Income, annual review and tax overview

A separate view of income, a summary of the whole year and an overview prepared for the tax return.

💎

Net worth

Assets minus debts over time — accounts, investments, properties and loans together.

📈

Reports and year-on-year

Where the money goes, how your spending structure changes and how this year differs from last.

📅

Calendar

A financial calendar with payments and due dates; it can be exported to your own calendar.

🔮

Forecast

A projection of your balance for the coming months based on recurring payments and typical spending.

📊

Investment assets

Investment assets recorded earlier still count towards net worth. Track new positions in the separate Investing module in the top bar.

🧬

Money personality

A profile of your spending built from your own data. It appears once you have at least a month of history and 10 expenses.

🤖

AI assistant

Temporarily off while we improve it. All reports and data work as usual.

🏦

Loans

Mortgages and loans with a repayment schedule and outstanding principal.

🏠

Properties

Flats and houses with value and costs; together with loans they give a realistic picture of your wealth.

🧾

Receipts

Photographed receipts attached to transactions — no more digging through a drawer.

📥

CSV and bank import

Load a bank statement as CSV, map the columns and transactions get assigned to categories.

🚨

Alerts

Warnings about an exceeded budget, an upcoming payment or unusual spending.

👨‍👩‍👧

Household

Shared finances with your partner or family in a common context.

⚙️

Settings

Currency, start of month, notifications and other module behaviour.

🏢 Business

Invoicing and company paperwork for freelancers and small companies. The module runs at /business/ and works in the business space. The module interface is currently available in Slovak only.

Open Business →
🧾

Issued invoices

Create an invoice, download the PDF or e-mail it to the client straight from the app, and track its status (sent, paid, overdue).

💶

Advance invoices

Advance payments before delivery that you later settle into a final invoice.

↩️

Credit notes and cancellations

Correction documents for invoices already issued, including PDF and exports.

🔁

Recurring invoices

Regular invoicing (monthly retainer, service) is generated automatically from a series.

👥

Clients

A client directory including company lookup by registration number, with document history.

📄

Purchase invoices

Incoming documents from suppliers — a record of costs and attachments.

🧾

Receipts and sales slips

Two menu items: Receipts (cash receipts; photograph them and OCR reads the data) and Sales slips, both with attachments and PDF.

📈

Cashflow and reports

An overview of income and expenses, a breakdown by category and a package for your accountant.

🧮

VAT audit and VAT ledger

A check of your documents before filing and an export of the VAT control statement as a downloadable XML file.

📲

QR payment and push notifications

Each invoice carries a Pay by Square QR code the client scans in their banking app. In the settings you enable push notifications to your phone, for example when an invoice gets paid.

🗄️

Price list, templates, labels and backups

Save repeated items in a price list, document looks in templates, sort documents with categories and labels and download all company data as a backup.

🏦

Bank import and matching

Upload a bank statement and the app suggests which payment belongs to which invoice; one click matches it.

👥

Team and roles

Invite colleagues into the company through the Team item in the left menu, which opens the shared People page. A member works with documents, clients and the bank, and can send invoices; company settings, number series and the e-mail connection can only be changed by an admin. The read-only role sees everything but changes nothing.

📈 Investing

Your own portfolio in one place, plus a look at the founder's cards: which tickers he has flagged and what he has invested in himself. The module lives at /invest/.

Open Investing →
📈

Portfolio

Your positions with value, profit/loss and performance over time.

📡

Signals

The tickers the founder of SALDAT buys himself: real and planned purchases of US stocks with his own money, picked by hand and regularly, with a horizon of months up to three years. You see the ticker, the target price and the current quote; the selection criteria are described right on the page. This is not investment advice.

🧤

Skin in the game

What the founder currently holds: ticker, date of first purchase, average buy price, performance in per cent and portfolio weight. Amounts are not published; you see the decisions, not the wallet.

🧰

More tools

The watchlist, market scanner, large-stake filings (13D/G), big-fund portfolios and their calendars are being rolled out step by step. New items appear right in the module's left menu as we switch them on.

🎓 Learning

Flashcards with spaced repetition for languages, exams or anything you need to remember. The module is at /learn. If you have no course yet, a wizard walks you through creating your own topic.

Open Learning →
🎯

Your own topic

Create a course on anything: a name, a language and a daily limit of new items. Every item becomes a card and the system takes care of when you see it again.

🌍

Language courses

For languages one vocabulary item produces up to three cards, including a fill-in card, so you practise the word from several sides.

📝

From text

Paste a text (for example class notes) and cards are created from it in bulk.

🔊

Read aloud

Have a card read aloud right in the browser, with no extra app.

📦

Decks

Cards are grouped into decks by topic; each deck shows how many cards are new and how many are due.

🃏

Cards

A card has a question and an answer. Add, edit and delete them right inside the deck.

🔁

Review

Spaced repetition: read the question, reveal the answer and rate yourself — Again, Hard, Good or Easy. Depending on the rating the card comes back in minutes or in days.

💶 Pricing

A single subscription covers every module as well as the business space of the same user — the company is not billed separately. You start with a 6-day trial: you add a card when creating the account, but nothing is charged during the trial and you can cancel any time before it ends on the Account page. After the order a short confirmation e-mail arrives; the full text is behind the link in it and stays there exactly as delivered.

Free trial
0 € / 6 days

6 days with the whole of SALDAT for free — try every module. The first payment happens only after the trial ends; cancel before then and you pay nothing.

SALDAT

At any time you can download your data in a machine-readable format or request deletion of your account.

🔑

Two-factor sign-in

Turn on app-based verification (TOTP) in the Money module settings and get recovery codes.

You stay signed in for 30 days from your last visit. Sign out any time from the ☰ menu or the Account page.

💬 Support

Something not working, a feature missing, or not sure where to set something up? The fastest way is the Support button in the ☰ menu inside the app: attach a screenshot and technical details (page, browser, recent errors) to your message so we can find the problem without asking back. The message goes to support@saldat.com. Outside the app use the /podpora page or the contact form; we reply on business days.

And if you would like to find your way around faster, book a free 20-minute online demo — the founder will personally walk you through the features on his own account.
